It can always be repaired and refinished whereas lesser quality furniture is disposable. Here are some general recommendations on how to care for your wood furniture:
- Our furniture is designed for indoor use. Keep your furniture in a temperature controlled environment.
- Clean the furniture with a dry cloth, duster, or slightly moist cloth. Use water or a very mild cleaner. Use of abrasive cleaners will wear down the finish. Other chemicals might build up and affect the look of the finish.
- Wood is a natural material with moisture content. Your new furniture will acclimate to its environment and will expand and contract depending on the conditions it is exposed to and the humidity level. Think of that wood door in your house that is harder to open in the summer and easier to close in the winter!
- Direct sunlight should be avoided. It can cause the finish to fade and the color becomes uneven for the areas not kissed by the sun.
